  • He meets Abel Santamaría Cuadrado through Jesus Montané. Abel Santamaria would become the second in command during the actions of July 26th, 1953. This first meeting takes place at the Cemetery of Colon.

01/05/1959

  • Early morning arrival at Ezeiza Airport. He is received in Buenos Aires by three aides-de-camp of President Arturo Frondizi and Che’s relatives. He is declared Official Guest of Argentina. Arrival at the Alvear Palace Hotel. He meets with Gonzalo Castro, his uncle, who resides in Argentina.
  • At his hotel, he receives the Argentine Chancellor, Dr. Carlos Florit.
  • The president of Brazil bids him farewell from the Brasilia airport, and he heads to Sao Paulo, on his way to Buenos Aires.
